Crochet

Kathy at Teaching Good Things has produced an excellent DVD called "Basic Crochet, A Stitch by Stitch Video". She takes you step by step through the different stitches. The camera is filming from over Kathy's shoulder so you can see exactly what her hands are doing. The best thing is that you can stop the DVD to practice each stitch before moving on. Kathy's explanations are clear and concise and the DVD is very well done.

I made this afghan as a Christmas present for my daughter after learning how to stitch a granny square using Kathy's DVD. Unfortunately, the colors do not show up well in the picture. They are very bright pinks, greens and purples. This was a very simple afghan to make.

Thank you Kathy for such a wonderful product. I recently purchased the new Quilting DVD and I can not wait to get started with it.

Another Homemade Gift

My mother-in-law calls every once in a while asking for recipes, so I decided to make this book for her to keep them in.

Homemade Gifts

Here are some gifts we have made for Christmas this year.

A scarf I crocheted for my mother-in-law's birthday.

Leather bracelets that Abby made for her cousins for Christmas. We borrowed the tools from someone we know in the Boy Scouts.

Barrets we made from buttons for Abby's cousins.
