Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. Deut 6:4-7

Lesson Learned
The other night, I was rushing through our bedtime ritual because we were behind schedule. I use the time after Abby goes to bed to prepare for the next morning.
Apparently, she did not like the fact that I was in a hurry and deviating from our usual routine. She stood in the doorway of her bedroom and very firmly said, "Mommy, I am more important than those things you have to do". Wow! What a reality check.
How many times do we do the same thing to God? "Just let me finish this one task and I will spend time with you." Then we move on to the next thing and before we know it, we have no time left for Him. And the whole time, He is trying to get our attention. He is crying out to us saying, "I am more important than these things you have to do."
In His Service,
Angela
