Here is my first attempt at making a rag quilt. I found the instructions at http://teachinggoodthings.com/homemaking-skills/quilting/. I cut up some old jeans not fit for wearing anymore) and used some coordinating red and pink cottons. I'm thinking of giving it to my 13 year old niece for her birthday.

OH my goodness... that is so cute! I downloaded her instructional book about this and I'm dying to try it too!
Thank you. It only took a weekend and it is the first quilt I ever made.
I like your other projects you have been posting lately but for some reason there is no place to comment on them.
I just finished my rag quilt and I had a blast!
Thanks Kim,
Somehow the comments were turned off. I have corrected that. I would love to see a picture of your quilt.
What is your email address and I'll email you pictures? I am waiting to blog about it because I don't want to ruin my mom's surprise.
I didn't buy any fabric for it; I just used stuff we had around here. So it cost me pennies to make!
Actually... Kathy Brodock put pictures on her blog.
It's not perfect, but I had fun. I am just learning to sew!
